Firestone Country Club Adopts Verishot Golf Monitoring System
CLEVELAND, OH – MAY 22, 2009 – Verishot (www.verishot.com) today announced that Firestone Country Club is using the new Verishot Mobile portable monitoring system to capture memorable golf shots via top quality video. Members’ can win cash prizes and certificates for winning holes-in-one and other contests and view and share video of their outstanding shots. In the last year alone, Verishot awarded 500 winners across the country including thirteen golfers that recorded a hole-in-one.
"We plan to use our Verishot Mobile unit on all three of our courses for member hole-in-one days, tournaments and outings. The program is so versatile it offers multiple opportunities for us," said Mark Gore, General Manager of Firestone. Verishot has also added Barberton Brookside Country Club in Norton, Ohio, to its growing family of courses. "The excitement Verishot has created at our course with outings, leagues and general play has been unbelievable. The program allows us to create a custom prize package that can fit any outing or league budget," said Joe Flogge, PGA, owner of Brookside.
Firestone and Brookside are part of the network of courses that heard of Verishot Mobile through Charlie Wood, President of Redwood Golf, Ltd., an independent representative of Verishot who is also Director of Golf at The Mayfield Sand Ridge Club in Cleveland. "Redwood Golf is very excited to be a part of the Verishot team. The new mobile unit is awesome and the program allows the courses and their players to profit," said Wood. Redwood recently added Mike Griffith, a veteran of Titleist to its team covering the Southern California market.
Verishot Mobile has been piloted in several markets around the country since November, 2008. The first hole-in-one recorded by Verishot Mobile was made by former NFL player Pat Ray on March 22, 2009 at Adams Pointe Golf Club in Kansas City, KS, and can be viewed at the winning shots web site, www.winninggolfshots.com. Ray won $10,000 for shooting a hole-in-one.
“Verishot has an unbelievable program and Kemper has had a great experience so far,” said Dustin Holcumbrink, Director of Sales and Marketing at Adams Pointe, a Kemper Golf Facility. “We’re planning on using Verishot Mobile at most of our outings and tournaments in 2009,” added Holcumbrink.
Verishot Mobile captures golfer activity at the tee box and green via video cameras and provides a turnkey program that takes care of the setup, video monitoring and capture, along with program content. Verishot Mobile is sold through golf courses and independent representatives.
