NEW WEB SITE FOR GOLFERS SHOWS MEMORABLE VIDEO GOLF SHOTS
CLEVELAND, OH – NOVEMBER 12, 2008 – Verishot today announced the launch of our new web site for golfers, www.winninggolfshots.com. The site will be officially available to the public on December 1. The new site will contain videos of winning golf shots captured by the Verishot system. This will include all holes-in-one for 2008 and closest-to-the-pin shots since July, 2008. Future videos will include all captured winning golf shots including golf shots within the flagstick.
We started posting hole-in-one videos on our corporate site in April, 2008 as had been requested repeatedly by our winning golfers,” said Dan Quigg, CEO of Verishot. “We noticed over the months that we did this that the web site traffic spiked and we almost always received media exposure for the golf course. As a result, we designed this site specifically be the receptacle for these videos, “added Quigg.
Golfers will have the ability to review the footage, share the video, post comments, and rate the shot. The applicable golf course and event are referenced in the winning shot. Golfers may directly launch the golf course web site, obtain directions to the course, and even book tee times as redirected from the site. A unique feature is the ability to view the winning hole using the Google Earth™ plug-in. The site is designed based on the growing trend of social networking video web sites. Initially, over 24 winning golf shots will be posted on the site, but over the coming year, Verishot expects hundreds of videos to be posted based on the number of systems in the field.
