What is the benefit to my golf course or event?
We utilize the term “ERP” to describe the benefits to the golf course.
- Excitement – our primary benefit is to offer every golfer, every round the ability to participate in a contest. Since there are three categories of prizes, virtually any golfer of any skill level can win a prize. The program is fully automated so that the golfer receives confirmation of the “winning shot” usually within one hour and can receive their prize while they are on the golf course (with exception of a hole-in-one). We post selected winning shots on our web site, www.winninggolfshots.com.
- Revenue – our system is all about driving additional revenue to the golf course. We accomplish this in several ways:
- Courses can use the Verishot system to differentiate their golf course and drive additional rounds of play.
- Most prizes are redeemable through the golf course. We reimburse the golf course as part of the program for these prizes spurring add-on sales. Further, golfers will typically spend 25-40% above the prize value upon redemption.
- Courses may use the Verishot ticket for third-party advertising and internal promotion. Third-party advertising can result in direct revenue to the course. Internal promotion and coupon bounce backs can spur additive revenue to other segments of the golf course such as for food and beverage.
- Courses may package the Verishot system as a differentiator for outings and events and mark up the pricing above the ticket value paid to Verishot.
- Promotion – the course may use the system as a differentiator for spurring additional rounds. As noted above the promotion element may be used to spur food and beverage sales. Verishot promotes the golf course on our web site and through www.winninggolfshots.com. Golfers can get directions to the course, book tee times, and even see the Verishot Challenge hole via Google Earth.

How does the program work?
The program consists of two deliverables, a preprinted ticket and golf video footage. The ticket is effectively the entry into the Verishot Challenge. The ticket value is mutually agreed to by Verishot and the golf course. Verishot and the course also agree on the prize values.
The Verishot technology (fixed or Verishot Mobile) is placed on a mutually agreeable Par 3 hole. The golfer is not in any way interrupted when they play the Verishot Challenge hole. If the golfer hits a winning shot, they enter their Verishot Challenge code into the keypad located on the video pole behind the green. This alerts Verishot Customer Service which will then verify the video footage usually within one hour and notify the course that the claim is either accepted or denied. A winning shot consists of the following:
- Closest to the Pin – within two feet as identified by a sticker on the flag stick.
- Within the Flagstick – within seven feet.
The golfer must lay down their flagstick to show clearly on the video footage that the shot is a winning shot. Once we have reviewed the reported shot, we notify the course (typically via phone) of the acceptance or denial of the claim. An accepted winning shot may be redeemed immediately.

What is the experience to the golfer like?
Upon checking in at the course, the golfer receives a ticket similar to sample provided. This ticket is scanned in using the Verishot provided scanner. In addition, the golf course may optionally scan the ticket into their point-of-sale system using the UPC Code on the ticket. The ticket contains detailed instructions for winning shots as well as the rules and conditions. For events using Verishot Mobile, tickets are pre-scanned specifically for the event.
When the ticket is scanned, it becomes registered in the Verishot database. The golfer has 24 hours to use this ticket to claim any prize. In addition, the course should alert the golfer to the procedures on the front of the ticket and the terms and conditions on the back of the ticket.
The golfer does not have to register at the hole. If the golfer hits a winning shot, they must promptly (after hitting the shot, but prior to completing the hole) enter their challenge code in the keypad located on the video pole closest to the green. In addition, if the winning shot is a hole-in-one, the golfer must also call Verishot customer service.
Once the code is entered, it sends an alert to Verishot Customer Service. Customer Service will review the video footage and then notify the course within the hour whether the claim is accepted or rejected. The course may then pay the claim in the form of the winning prize such as golf shop certificates, coupons for golf, etc. If the winning shot is a hole-in-one, Verishot will contact the golfer directly to obtain personal information for tax reporting and promotion. Hole-in-one prizes are paid in the form of cash usually within one week of the shot.

System and Technology
What technology do you utilize?
The Verishot system consists of two main components for the golf shop and at the hole. The golf shop application consists of a computer, a keypad/bar code scanner, and a promotional monitor. The technology at the hole consists of a video monitoring pole and a power generation pole (see below). The poles are powder coated green to blend into the background. The domed camera gives the look and feel of a lamppost. Verishot Mobile is a self contained unit that consists of cameras, video capture equipment, and cellular equipment.

The Program
Can the ticket be customized and how often?
Yes, we work directly with the golf course to customize the ticket. The ticket is broken down into six panels. Two of the panels may be customized for the course. Further the panels may have perforations to allow for detachable coupons. Tickets may be reordered as supplies are used up at the course. At the time the tickets are reordered, we can change the information on the ticket.

What types of advertising and promotions can be put on the ticket?
Virtually any type of advertising and promotional message can be put on the ticket. Advertising is a particularly effective way of underwriting the cost of the Verishot program. Our sales representatives can help customize a program that uniquely meets the needs of the golf course.

Top
What if Verishot cannot verify a shot or there is a disputed shot?
Our goal is to be able to verify 100% of claims. There may be the occasion where we cannot conclusively conclude that a claim is invalid. In these cases, we will give the golfer the benefit of the doubt and will accept the claim. Upon review of the video, our resolution of the claim is final.

How are prizes determined and redeemed to the winning golfers?
Prizes may be customized to the golf course and/or event. Verishot ascribes a prize value and will reimburse the course for that value against any revenue generated from the program. Prizes may be redeemed for hard and soft goods or even used for future rounds of golf. If the winning shot is a hole-in-one, Verishot will contact the golfer directly to obtain personal information for tax reporting and promotion. Hole-in-one prizes are paid in the form of cash usually within one week of the shot. Our sales representatives can help customize a program that uniquely meets the need of the golf course.
