Verishot has been in business since 2004 and has evolved its product offering from a video monitoring solution for golf course contests and events to a strategic social media marketing solution. The Verishot video system automatically captures video activity on the tee and green and enables golf courses to provide golf shot contests for every golfer every round. From 2008 through 2010, Verishot has paid out more than 1,500 prizes including 22 hole-in-one contests.
In 2008 Verishot began to post videos of hole-in-one winners and offer basic social networking features on www.winninggolfshots.com in response to overwhelming demand from golfers to view their winning shots. More than 100,000 views of golf shots have been logged on this site since its launch.
Verishot is marketed primarily to public golf courses and golf event planners in the United States and Canada directly and through an independent channel. Verishot’s client roster already reflects a presence in several of the top 50 public golf courses in the country and many of the major golf management organizations. More than 70 golf courses used Verishot technology in 2009 alone.
