How it Works
Checking In
Upon checking in at the course, the golfer receives a ticket similar to sample provided. The ticket contains detailed instructions for winning shots as well as the rules and conditions. The golfer has 24 hours to use this ticket to claim any prize.
Claiming a Prize
The golfer does not have to register at the hole. If the golfer hits a winning shot, they must promptly (after hitting the shot, but prior to completing the hole) enter their challenge code in the keypad located on the Verishot Mobile unit (see sample photo below). The golfer must also lay down the flagstick clearly showing that the shot is within the prescribed distance of either within the flag or within two feet. A special measuring label affixed to the flagstick establishes a distance of two feet.
In addition, if the winning shot is a hole-in-one, the golfer must also call Verishot customer service. Once the code is entered, it sends an alert to Verishot Customer Service. Customer Service will review the video footage and then notify the course within the hour whether the claim is accepted or rejected. The course may then pay the claim in the form of the winning prize such as golf shop certificates, coupons for golf, etc. If the winning shot is a hole-in-one, Verishot will contact the golfer directly to obtain personal information for tax reporting and promotion. Hole-in-one prizes are paid in the form of cash usually within one week of the shot. Customer service hours are from 7 AM to 10 PM EST, 365 days a year.
